OUR STORY
From an early age, I remember loving my grandma’s religious statues throughout her home and garden. I also remember my grandma teaching me how to bless myself before and after my nightly prayers. I can still see her large wooden rosary beads on the wall above her bed when I say some of the prayers I was taught as a child. I have such fond memories of all these special religious relics and I
believe this when God planted the seed for “HOUSE OF SAINT ROSE” in my heart.
As I reflect back on my life, I see various stages of my faith journey. I also see the role SAINT ROSE has played in those stages.
I attended SAINT ROSE McCarthy Catholic School for Kindergarten and first grade. While I only attended the school for two years, the seeds planted during this time stayed with me forever. Later in life, when I was confirmed Catholic, through the RCIA program, I chose SAINT ROSE as my patron saint and Rose became my confirmation name. I wanted a name with history and meaning. The name “Rose” provided both for me. When my daughter was confirmed, she also chose SAINT ROSE as her patron saint. I love that she carries on the confirmation name tradition of Rose for our family and, God willing, the future generations of women in our family will too!
When planning this new adventure, I wanted to create a place where people could find beautiful religious statues, specialty rosaries, unique home décor and other religious relics … just like my grandma used to have … and now I have in my home and garden too.
I believe everything we love has meaning and if we look close enough, we will find the purpose of that meaning. Reflecting on my history and my purpose on this earth, I can’t help but think about the various stage of my life and the special connection to God, family, and SAINT ROSE.
I pray that when you shop at HOUSE OF SAINT ROSE, you find something meaningful to you or a loved one. Thank you for shopping with us and most of all, thank you for being a part of my journey.
God Bless ~
